It is an online journal produced by the College of Education at the Polytechnic Institute of Setubal in Portugal. It aims to publish original articles which analyze and provide research into training processes and the development of professional practice, with an emphasis on research which combines both these areas. The journal will provide a forum for discussion and reflection for researchers, professionals, lecturers and students who are concerned with current issues in Culture, Education, Media and Technologies in a Knowledge–based Society. In this society the distinctions between different disciplines are becoming blurred, creating the opportunity for developing a multiplicity of creative and imaginative relationships between them.
The journal Medi@ções is indexed in the Directory and Catalog of the Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal "Latindex" with Folio number 25382.

As sociedades contemporâneas são marcadas por um conjunto alargado de desafios políticos, societais, culturais, educativos e artísticos que passam, entre outros aspetos, pelo alargamento dos quadros de referência, pela convivialidade entre diferentes, pelo posicionamento crítico e pelos imaginários criativos. Neste contexto, a compreensão das relações inter e transdisciplinares entre a Educação, Práticas Artísticas e Inclusão afigura-se um contributo relevante, multisituado e multimodal, que poderá contribuir para a criação de novos ou reconfigurados encantamentos com o mundo, com os outros, com os saberes e os conhecimentos.
Assim, a revista Medi@ções convida todos e todas os interessados e envolvidos em trabalhos de investigação, formação, projetos de natureza prática e/ou teórica, reflexões ou narrativas profissionais que articulem estas três dimensões - Educação, Práticas Artísticas e Inclusão -, a apresentarem os seus artigos neste numero temático.

This special issue of Medi@ções magazine is the result of a challenge issued to authors at the 3rd CIEQV International Congress: innovation and sustainability for a quality future, inviting them to write articles for this publication.
The Centre for Research on Quality of Life (CIEQV) is a multidisciplinary R&D unit evaluated and funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT - UID/04748/2025). The Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal joined the consortium on 22 January 2024 and from the outset made itself available to organise the 3rd CIEQV International Congress, an event that takes place every two years. The congress, held on 27 and 28 February 2025 at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (ESE-IP Setúbal), was attended by national and international researchers and was a special moment for sharing knowledge, establishing networks for future research projects and reflecting on the work carried out in conjunction with the Advisor Board for the different lines of research. The researchers from CIEQV-IP Setúbal, with the collaboration of the ESE Management, formed the Organising Committee. At the 3rd CIEQV International Congress, conferences, oral presentations and e-posters were presented within the scope of CIEQV's lines of research: a) Quality Education; b) Social Sustainability and Entrepreneurship; c) Sustainability of Agri-Food Systems; d) Physical Activity.
