On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the Setúbal Polytechnic Institute's School of Education, this special issue of Medi@ções magazine brings together, in a broad and periscopic perspective, testimonies, articles, interviews, visual and written essays, narratives, and ethnographies that focus on the various cultural, educational, and training fields touched by this school's existence.
This thematic issue aims to be a testament to the specific qualities of the ESE, its transformative effects over the past 40 years, among faculty, non-teaching staff, students, and alumni, but also its relationship with the non-academic community, particularly in the Setúbal region.
