Abstract
This article analyzes the potential of didactic games as pedagogical resources in
teaching History in the early years. Based on the creation of a board game about a
historical period, it reflects on how playfulness can facilitate meaningful learning,
promoting skills such as critical thinking, cooperation, creativity, and historical
awareness, highlighting the formative value of games in children's engagement and
autonomy.
