Participação política online e competências digitais: um estudo de caso com jovens universitários

Abstract
This article addresses the opportunities and challenges of online political participation by university students, considering their digital skills. Data was collected through a questionnaire and two focus-groups. Results show a mainly latent participation, based on content consumption. However, the ability to verify the veracity of the information found is one of the items that young people least master. Although recognized as more powerful actions, and associated with creative skills, sharing or posting in social media entail risks, which end up inhibiting participation.
