Noticing children's algebraic thinking about repeating sequences

Abstract
The present study aims to characterize the noticing ability of two preservice teachers regarding to pre-schoolers’ algebraic thinking, in the context of repeating patterns. The results show that both pairs attend to important aspects in the analysed situations but tend not to recognize nonverbal aspects that are relevant to understand children’s thinking.
