Abstract
What importance do other health professionals attach to kindergarten teachers’ intervention in the multidisciplinary team accompanying paediatric hospital admissions?
This is one of the questions that has made me reflect, since I began working in this context. To dignify the kindergarten teacher’s role in a multidisciplinary Paediatrics’ team, I try to value the importance of playing during the hospitalisation, noticing that, though educators might be working in a different context (that of the hospital), they still have a pedagogical intentionality. To fulfil these intentions, I created strategies to disseminate that work and its importance, alongside the health team, namely making presentations in service meetings.
