A creche em Portugal: entre uma perspetiva assistencialista e educacional

Résumé
Na evolução das creches em Portugal verifica-se uma alternância entre conceções assistencialista de integração educacional. Procura-se refletir sobre a tensão existente entre estas duas perspetivas relativamente ao atendimento em creche em Portugal. A creche foi considerada como local de guarda por impedimento dos pais, no entanto no decurso dos tempos assistimos a tentativas de a assumir como um serviço de prestação de cuidados e de educação promovendo um desenvolvimento mais holístico e respeitador dos direitos das crianças.
Absract
In the evolution of nurseries in Portugal there is an alternation between welfare conceptions and educational integration. Wanted reflect on the tension between these two perspectives regarding the attendance at day care in Portugal. The nursery was considered as a place of guard for offside parents, however in the course of time we have seen attempts to take over as a service providing care and education to promote a more holistic and respectful development of children's rights.
