Abstract
In this paper we present an overview of the intervention of professors of Escola Superior de Educação de Setúbal for almost 40 years in Education and Teacher Training projects in countries (Africa and Timor Loro Sae) where the Portuguese language is official.
We focus several educational areas and curricula, the teachers and the teacher trainers, the institutions and different training and educational methodologies.
In a final reflexion we clarify some concepts and identify some obstacles and propose a future challenge.
