Login or Register to make a submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF document file format. (max. 10MB)
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described below, in "Instructions for Authors".
  • The identification of authorship of this work was removed from the file and from the Word Properties option, thus guaranteeing the journal's confidentiality criteria, if submitted for peer review (e.g. articles), according to instructions available at "Ensuring Blind Peer Review", described below.

- The magazine Medi@ções publishes original, theoretical or empirical articles in English, Spanish, French or English. The review is limited i.e., the reviewers will not know the identity of the authors of the articles submitted and the authors are aware of reviewers' opinions but not their identities.

- Proposals for papers should contain a maximum of 30,000 characters, including spaces and be presented in 1.5 space, with 3 cm. margins. They should include an abstract in the language of the article and in English with a maximum of 200 words and a list of keywords ( a maximum of six). Pages should be numbered consecutively.

- Figures should be submitted (possibly on separate sheets) to a quality that allows reproduction, and should also be numbered and captioned, as should any tables. References must be formatted according to APA style. Authors can download this template.

- Proposals for papers should be written so that anonymity is guaranteed in the review process, avoiding mention of local institutions or identifying the authorship of the text. If the author wishes to refer to personal work, you can do so indicating them in the text and in the reference list as follows: (XXXXX, 2013).

- Full information will be included in the article after the review process is completed. Proposals submitted for publication must be placed on the website of the magazine in a Word attachment without identifying the authorship and including the summary in both languages mentioned above and keywords.

- Full identification of the article - title, name and affiliation of the authors and their email addresses must also be submitted on the website of the magazine but in a separate file.

- At the end of each article, a brief biographical note of the authors will be added, including institution, academic or professional activity, publications and project experiences.

Ensuring blind peer review

To ensure anonymous reviews of articles submitted to this journal, every effort must be made to ensure that authors do not know the identity of reviewers and vice versa.
Article authors must remove their names from the text and must use “Author” and the year of publication in references and footnotes instead of their name, article title, etc.
Document authors must remove personal information from the file properties by following these steps:
In the case of Microsoft Word for Windows:
In "File"
Select “Information”
Click "Find problems"
Click on “Inspect Document”
In the "Inspect Document" dialog box, check the boxes to choose the type of hidden content you want to inspect.
Click “Delete all”
Click “Close”
Save the document
In the case of Microsoft Word for Mac OS:
Go to "Tools"
Click on “Protect Document”
Select "Remove personal information from file on save"
Click OK and save the file.
